On Thursday, February 14, 2019, the House and the Senate passed a government spending bill funding EPA and other government agencies through September 30, 2019. While the FY2019 Appropriation is a success in that it strikes down the Administration’s call for sharp cuts to EPA, it still only provides funding at last year’s level. Level funding is a recipe for a slow death, as EPA gradually loses the resources to ensure vigorous and effective protection of our nation’s people and environment. In response, EPN produced this fact sheet explaining the ongoing evisceration of EPA.
