On October 11, 2024, EPN submitted comments on EPA’s proposed decision to register an antimicrobial pesticide product containing the new active ingredient, glycerol formate. While EPN supports the product registration, we do have some concerns about the adequacy of the risk assessment and risk management decisions with respect to the exposures of bystanders. In addition, EPN feels the agency should direct Ecolab to improve its product’s labeling in order to receive approval.
