On March 21, 2025, The Environmental Protection Network submitted comments opposing a petition filed by 11 State Attorneys Generals urging an EPA rule change that would redefine pesticide labeling requirements; arguing it is unnecessary and could limit states’ ability to address pesticide risks. Environmental Protection Network warns that the rule could weaken consumer protections, increase litigation against the EPA, and place additional burdens on the agency to continually reassess risk evaluations.
