EPN Presents Testimony on EPA’s Draft Policy Assessment for Particulate Matter

On November 17, 2021, EPN presented testimony on EPA's Draft PA for PM at a public meeting of the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee PM panel. EPN's comments outlined evidence and perspectives recommending significant revisions to both daily and annual PM2.5 standards. In addition, EPN member Dan Costa presented testimony on the Draft Supplement to the ISA for PM.

EPN’s Work on NEPA and EPA’s Strategic Plan

EPN Letter on Proposed Revisions to Regulations Implementing NEPA

On November 22, 2021, EPN sent a letter to CEQ providing comments on the proposal to generally restore regulatory provisions for implementing the procedural provisions of the NEPA. EPN supports CEQ's proposed revisions, which address climate change and environmental injustice, and recommends that any revisions in a second proposed rulemaking go further to restore the purpose and goals of NEPA that were limited by the 2020 NEPA regulations.

EPN Comments on EPA’s Draft Strategic Plan for FY2022-2026

EPN provided comments on EPA’s draft FY2022-2026 strategic plan that support the agency’s recommitment to following the science, following the law, and being transparent. In addition, EPN encouraged EPA to establish more near-term action items that are consistent with Administrator Regan's commitment to urgent priorities, including environmental justice and climate change.
