On Saturday, October 29, 2022, in partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN conducted a virtual roundtable event with North Carolina Central University, a historically Black institution in Durham, North Carolina. This event was part of our efforts to complement EPA’s objective to diversify its workforce by holding discussions with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). EPN member John Armstead and other alumni opened the discussion by sharing their experiences working in the agency, and an EPA human resources administrator followed with a presentation on various career-entry pathways for students and recent graduates.
