The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) represents the largest investment in climate resilience, clean energy, and clean transportation ever in the United States. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants (Community Change Grants) program in particular offers more than $2 billion to disadvantaged communities for improvement projects. However, many communities need technical assistance to apply for the grants.
On May 2nd, 2024, the Environmental Protection Network (EPN) and the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) invited scientists, experts, and former EPA and DOE career staff to an informational training webinar to learn how their expertise can be leveraged to advance and expand access to affordable clean energy deployment and community improvement projects through the Community Change Grants program.
