On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, EPN submitted comments on EPA’s draft risk evaluation for formaldehyde, a ubiquitous colorless gas that can cause significant eye and lung irritation. We provided detailed comments and suggestions in response to the charge questions presented by EPA to the Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals (SACC). We also gave additional feedback on the environmental hazard, exposure, and risk assessment; the human health risk assessment; and the unreasonable risk determination.
