On November 4, 2024, the Environmental Protection Network (EPN) provided comments on EPA’s draft risk evaluation for Diisononyl Phthalate (DINP). EPN emphasized that EPA should carefully consider the Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals’ recommendations to enhance all related phthalate evaluations. EPN also suggested that EPA’s current methods for DINP exposure assessment and modeling are overly optimistic and recommended the agency revise its confidence levels from “moderate” to “slight” until more data becomes available.
