Environmental Protection Network, Community Outreach Associate- Regions 8 & 10- Priority Deadline February 14th
(Must be located in AK, CO, ID, MT, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, or WY)

Reporting to the Senior Associate, Community Outreach-Region 6, the Community Outreach Associate-Region 8 & 10 will partner across the 13-person Technical Assistance Community Outreach Team. They will leverage their strong organizational skills, and relationship-building skills, combined with environmental justice and/or social justice expertise, to meet the evolving needs of a growing environmental justice nonprofit.

The person who takes on this position must be located within one of the following states: AK, CO, ID, MT, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, or WY. Day-to-day work is remote, as EPN does not have an office. In addition, there are some in-person meetings and travel. We are looking for this position to start immediately.

Environmental Protection Network, National Senior Community Outreach Associate- Priority Deadline February 14th

Reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Assistance, the National Senior Community Outreach Associate will partner with and act as a support across the 13-person Technical Assistance Community Outreach Team. They will leverage their strong organizational skills, and relationship-building skills, combined with environmental justice and/or social justice expertise, to meet the evolving needs of a growing environmental justice nonprofit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves doing work in deep collaboration with others, and who can quickly adapt to changing landscapes and conditions. This staff member will support overflow tasks across our ten regions in partnership with our existing Senior Associates/Associates of Community Outreach and will take directives from the Senior Director of Technical Assistance on special projects for the team. Specifically, that person will be bilingual in Spanish and English and be able to support projects and tasks in both languages (including facilitating meetings, sending emails, translating documents, translating on calls, etc.).

Environmental Defense Fund, Senior Attorney, Clean Transportation

The Senior Attorney, Clean Transportation, will develop and implement strategies on complex legal and policy matters to reduce climate and health harming pollution and to enhance equity, with a focus on pollution from the transportation sector. As part of EDF’s Legal and Regulatory team and working closely with a team of attorneys, scientists, economists, and policy specialists, the Senior Attorney will focus on developing, advancing, and defending key state and federal transportation sector policies before the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), other agencies, and the courts, including EPA pollution standards for new light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles, and California mobile source standards. The Senior Attorney will engage in efforts to defend the Inflation Reduction Act’s climate and energy provisions with a focus on transportation sector-related tax credits before the Department of Treasury and in other venues.
