Former EPA Employees Sign Letter in Support of Current Agency Staff
The Environmental Protection Network (EPN) today sent a letter signed by 568 former EPA employees to current employees of EPA expressing their unwavering support amidst the blistering attacks on civil servants by the Trump administration.
“The United States relies on the work of professional, nonpartisan civil servants,” the letter states. “You provide continuity through changes in administrations, bring institutional knowledge and subject-matter expertise, and ensure that the laws of government are implemented and adhered to.”
The letter references a 2024 poll by the Environmental Protection Network that found an overwhelming, bipartisan support of the EPA — reaffirming that the Trump administration’s actions are against the interest of the American public.
In recent weeks, the Environmental Protection Network has taken actions to aid current employees and/or at-risk employees, including a landing page for federal employee resources, including FAQs on what to do when given questionable directions.
