Emmett Blaney
Community Outreach Associate for EPA Regions 8 & 10
Emmett Blaney (he/him) is a Community Outreach Associate with our pro bono capacity-building technical assistance program for EPA Regions 8 and 10.
Originally hailing from rural Wyoming, Emmett earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Willamette University, before returning to the Mountain West to earn a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Ecological Justice.
His previous experience includes legislative policy advocacy, LGBTQ+ community organizing, political education, and technical assistance. He is deeply invested in economic justice, rural community building, climate justice, and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
In his spare time, you can find Emmett seeking out the best iced chai latte, re-watching Pride and Prejudice (2005), or using every pot and pan in his kitchen for a singular meal.
