Michelle Parke

Michelle Parke is a seasoned public relations leader with over 20 years of experience spanning K-12 and higher education, nonprofits, professional sports, and entertainment. She specializes in publicity, media relations, event management, and strategic communications.

Before joining the Environmental Protection Network, Michelle served as PR Practice Leader at The Starr Conspiracy, where she led communications strategies for technology clients. Her background also includes an academic career as a professor of English, film, and journalism, where she taught and wrote about topics such as AI and ethics, technology and privacy law, systems theory, and LGBTQ+ culture and identities.

Michelle holds a Ph.D. in English from Michigan State University and has earned certifications from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as well as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the Workplace certification.
