On January 12, 2023, EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation held a national recruitment event for students and recent college graduates in the science and engineering fields. EPA is hiring new staff to help implement the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which tackles the climate crisis, reduces air pollution, and advances environmental justice. Thirty-eight (38) EPN volunteers were trained on how to navigate USAJobs and signed up to provide 172 mentor sessions for potential applicants who were seeking extra support as they applied for federal jobs.
