On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN conducted a virtual roundtable event with Benedict College, a historically Black institution in Columbia, South Carolina. This event was part of our efforts to diversify EPA’s workforce by holding events at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). An EPA manager from the Southeast Regional Office (Region 4) moderated the discussion, and EPN member Beverly Banister shared her experiences working in the agency. In addition, an EPA human resources expert presented various career-entry pathways for students and recent graduates, and the event closed with a Q&A session.
