On Thursday, November 10, 2022, in partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN conducted a virtual roundtable event with Delaware State University, a historically Black institution in Dover, Delaware. This event was part of our efforts to diversify EPA’s workforce by holding events at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). The Director of EPA’s Chesapeake Bay Program moderated the discussion, and EPN member John Armstead and another EPA alum shared their experiences working in the agency. In addition, an EPA human resources expert presented various career-entry pathways for students and recent graduates, and the event closed with a Q&A session moderated by Delaware State University’s Career Center.
