On July 13, we sent a letter from our Executive Director to EPA Administrator Michael Regan expressing our concerns about EPA’s plans to retire its online archive this month. This archive serves an important public service by providing historical information on key environmental issues and past agency actions and stands as an important example of the agency’s leadership in enhancing transparency by equipping the public with the information resources needed to address both environmental and public health challenges. We urged EPA to involve stakeholders and further consider cost-effective solutions before retiring this valuable public tool.
