On Tuesday, November 15, in partnership with the EPA Alumni Association, EPN volunteers and community leaders they are collaborating with joined a virtual academy session describing the pro bono technical assistance our members provide to disadvantaged communities. EPN members who have held various positions within EPA, including policy experts, lawyers, scientists, and grant specialists, are assisting low-income communities and communities of color nationwide to help them navigate EPA, regulatory processes, federal policies, grant programs, as well as publicly available data on issues including air, water, toxic substances, and hazardous waste.
Over the last 16 months, EPN has connected over 100 EPA alumni to over 160 communities across the country and hopes to connect alumni to over 700 more in 2023.
