United to End Polluter Handouts Coalition, Campaign Director

We are seeking a Campaign Director for the next 20 months of a multi-year campaign with the possibility of extension and based on the ongoing goals of the campaign and successful fundraising efforts.

A growing coalition of activist organizations has launched a new campaign demanding an end to subsidies for Big Oil and fossil fuel production. We aim to elevate subsidies as an offensive national climate fight for the movement now and lay the foundation for a protracted fight over subsidies at the federal, and then state and local levels in the coming years. The campaign will build on the significant opportunity presented by the 2025 renegotiation of Trump tax cuts to target and expose the subsidies and stop their expansion, while building a strong constituency demanding action and building political power to win at the federal level and in states where subsidies are vital to the industry’s expansion through 2026, 2028 and beyond.

The campaign will educate the public about the massive and immoral level of their tax dollars flowing to an industry making historic profits, while wrecking the planet and impacting the health of families and communities. Collectively, it will develop innovative movement and communications strategies to mobilize these constituents for action to end subsidies first at the federal, and then the state, local, and international level.

Ashoka, Global Youth Years Leader

Ashoka is looking for an exceptional changemaker to join its Global Leadership Team to lead this change on a global scale. Over the last 35 years, Ashoka Innovators for the Public not only coined the term social entrepreneur- but also pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship globally. We searched and helped 3,000 men and women launch their system- changing ideas to solve problems. We also helped the world SEE why social entrepreneurship was a more powerful way to drive change. Investors invested in them, journalists wrote about them, universities taught courses and incubators and accelerators supported them. In some countries governments even created policies to support social entrepreneurs.

However, we recognize this is not enough. The rate of change is accelerating and our problems are growing faster than our solutions.  In such an environment it is not enough for a few to lead and others to follow. Everyone must be a changemaker. Changemaking skills, i.e. empathy, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and leadership become essential to equip each of us to respond to changes around us.
